Enter the Sailfish Cup Charity Division with a minimum $5,000 donation. This entry fee/donation is separate from your tournament entry. The donations will be paid out in full with 50% benefiting the World Sailfish Championship Charitable Foundation and 50% benefiting the top three places Charity of choice.

The Sailfish Cup Welcomes the Historic Hotel as Sponsor and Host of Miami’s Richest Fishing Tournament

Clearwater, Fla. (September 28, 2009) – The Sailfish Cup announced today the Clevelander Hotel as an official sponsor and host hotel of the 2009 Sailfish Cup. The Clevelander Hotel, located on Miami’s South Beach, will be host to the private parties and events throughout the duration of the tournament.

The public is invited to help support The NASCAR Foundation and Speediatrics through a fundraising event at the Clevelander on Tuesday, November 17, 2009. Those who make a donation to The NASCAR Foundation that night will have a chance to win two tickets to the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Ford 400 at Homestead-Miami Speedway on Sunday, November 22, 2009.

A true icon amongst Miami’s South Beach venues, the Clevelander has recently reopened after a multi-million dollar renovation and upgrade to the ultimate one-stop destination experience. The Sailfish Cup was originally designed to celebrate the final race of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series while kicking off the South Florida sailfish tournament season. In addition to world-class fishing, participants will enjoy VIP parties offering gourmet cuisine, top shelf open-bars and live entertainment.

Holding true to the title of “The Richest Tournament in Miami”, the Gala, hosted by Mike Helton, President of NASCAR is an evening of remembrance, philanthropy and celebration. Charity auctions benefit The NASCAR Foundation and Speediatrics at Jungle Island. Tickets for the charity auction will be sold to the public for $500, and include a 5-course dinner and top-shelf cocktails; the charity auction event will be held on Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at Miami’s Jungle Island.
